Speaking of Weather

Two days ago, it was sunny and 78 degrees. I had all the windows in my house open for like 4 days straight. Spring fever was setting in. I even broke out the flip-flops.

Today, the high did not even reach 40 degrees, and lows in the 20's tonight. There is even a chance of sleet and snow tonight and tomorrow. The windows have all been closed, and there's been a fire burning my fireplace since this morning.

What is going on here?

Putting Christmas Away

Today, I packed up Christmas and put it all back in the attic. I love Christmas decorations, but then on the other hand, it is nice to have my house back to normal and not feel so claustrophobic in my living room. While it's a little sad to know that another Christmas has come and gone, it's also a little exciting to know that another Spring is right around the corner. Or maybe, it's already here... at least it feels like it with highs in the upper 70's! I'm sure winter's not completely over yet, though.

Poor Bo

I took Bo to the vet today to have some surgery... he's getting neutered and de-clawed. I was so sad to drop him off, knowing what he was going to be having done to him. :( And now, he has to stay at the vet tonight and tomorrow night, and I won't be able to bring him home till Saturday. Poor thing... I miss him!

A new attempt at dinner

Tomorrow, I'm making my first attempt at cooking a pot roast in the crock pot. Wish me luck!

Happy New Year 2007!

I hope everybody had a great New Year's Eve! We went to a get together at some friends of ours' house (sorry Sarah, if my grammar/punctuation is incorrect!). We had a really good time, and somehow miraculously made it home without going through a roadblock! But, don't worry, we were prepared for roadblocks and did not drink and drive. (Well, one of us did not drink and drive.) I took a few pics and thought I'd share some.
