The Arkansas Diaries

Ok, I finally have some time to tell a little about the trip! We left at what seemed like the ass-crack of dawn Friday morning and drove 9 hours to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I'd never been to Arkansas before, so it was a new experience for me! This was our first stop in Ar-kansas to get gas and beer and some Taco Bell in Forrest City. Here is Justin showing how much he loves me. ;) Anyways, the weather was beautiful, but a little on the cold side! We went and ate at the Pied Piper Pub Friday night, and decided to not go out because we were all beat. We got up Saturday morning and walked across the street to the breakfast buffet at Pancake's (yum!), and then we went and did some walking around historic downtown.. it is such a neat place! Then we went and climbed a 100 foot observation tower. Exercise... ugh! It was scary, but fun, and my legs were sore for the rest of the weekend! After that, we needed some rest, lunch, and drinks, so we went and hung out for a little while at Shawbee's Big Dawg Saloon (a biker bar). That was really a lot of fun. But then it was time to go get ready for the wedding! We went and got Anna Leigh all married to Justin... it was a short and sweet ceremony! I didn't get pics because the batteries in my camera decided to die. Nice, huh. Sarah got some nice pics at the wedding, though. After the wedding, we went to eat and celebrate at the Bavarian Inn where we got to try out some German cuisine. We weren't that impressed, though. But it was still fun. Then, it was on to the Tiki Torch! Woohoo! That was a lot of fun. Sarah had a lot of fun dancing with a weird local old guy with long hair.....
Every time we went out there to dance, he had to come join us!! She blames us for her having to dance with him for 2 songs, but I think she secretly enjoyed it because at any time, she could've easily said that she needed to go sit down! The local bar lifeguard kept watch to make sure we were on our best behavior.
And then Jaime decided to strip for us! Yea, Jaime, take it off! Then right before midnight we had to leave to avoid a fight... Some jackass came over to our table asking us for rolling papers, and when Justin asked him to leave us alone, this guy's stupidass friends came over trying to start a fight. So we all left, some more easily than others.... Tiffany needed some persuading (okay, we had to physically drag her out of there) because "she has a baby and she'd be damned if she was going to be made to leave the bar early." So that proved for an interesting screaming fit in the middle of the street and a nice fight between her and her boyfriend, Hunter. Gah! I guess we needed to add a little drama to the night. So anyway, we just carried the party back to the Trails Inn. Then, Sunday, we got up early and left! That's about it folks! I had an awesome time... every last minute of the trip was fun, even down to the constant Napolean Dynamite jokes and our word for the weekend! (HORSESH*T!)

I didn't know you took pictures of me and my dancing partner... too bad they don't show up better!
